In cooperation with: Atletica Varazze, Team Fuorigiri Arenzano Place and date: Arenzano (Ligurian Riviera), Friday 6th Sept. 2013 (Arenzano Half-marathon is held every year on the second Friday of September).
Meeting point: Piazza Calasetta (promenade)
Bib pick-up: Pick up your bib and race packet on Friday September 9 in Piazza Calasetta from 3 pm.
Registration deadline: 6 pm
Starting 6.30 pm from Via Grecia (Aurelia)
Maximum time: 2,30 hours
Course overview: The course (FIDAL approval) is on the flat. It unfurls along the promenade which connects Arenzano to Cogoleto and Varazze, between cliffs and Mediterranean maquis vegetation.
Participation requirements: 1) participants must be at least 20 years old on October 23rd, 2013; 2) one of the following: a) participants must be membership card holders for the Italian Athletics Federation (FIDAL); b) participants must be membership card holders for an Italian Sport Promotion Authority recognised by FIDAL; c) participants must be membership card holders for a foreign Athletics Federation affiliated to the IAAF; d) participants must have a medical certificate signed by a physician certifying that they are fit to run a marathon at a competitive level. The medical certificate must have been issued later than October 24th, 2012. In case d) - according to the FIDAL rules - athletes have to pay an additional 5.00 euro fee to get the "daily license for road race participation" which will be pre-filled by the organisation. All FIDAL member athletes, male and female, who are already 18 years of age by the date of the event, may take part in it. FIDAL categories: absolute 18-22, 23-34 amateurs, masters 35 +. All athletes registered with sports promotion bodies affiliated to and recognised by the same FIDAL may take part. The participation of not licensed persons is permitted as long as they are in possession of the “daily race card” – only for the "amateur/master"-categories downloadable from the site of FIDAL making sure to fill out the form in its entirety and with the signed original in duplicate. These forms should be sent to Wedosport - together with the following documents: a) receipt of payment to the company organising the event of the registration fee envisaged in the rules of the event; b) receipt of the sum of € 5.00 relative to the authorisation to participate and the subsequent issue of the race card; c) a photocopy of the medical certificate of fitness to practice competitive sports of athletics, the original of which in any case must be presented. By registering the participant declares under his/her own responsibility, being in possession of the psycho-physical and technical requirements necessary for the carrying out of the competitive race. By registering you agree unconditionally to the rules of the FIDAL federal technical regulations.
Awards: No prizes available for foreign runners with no Italian membership club.
Entry fee: € 15 until August 15th 2013, € 18,00 until August 31st, € 20,00 from 1st September 2013 (up to race day) + € 5.00 microchip deposit, for FIDAL and EPS athletes. € 5.00 surcharge for athletes with "daily race card" with insurance. The fee includes: race number, safety pins, medical assistance, refreshments and spongings along the route, gadgets from sponsors, rankings published on the Internet.

Precautions: All matters not covered in these regulations shall be subject to the technical and health rules and regulations of FIDAL. By paying the registration fee each participant relieves the organisers from any civil or criminal liability. The organisation accepts no responsibility either civil or criminal, for what may happen to persons or property before, during and after the event.
